Notes
From a Corgi distributor’s warehouse, there are some exciting Corgi pieces from this collection that we are thrilled to bring to market.
Stored away for decades, these items all came from a distributor for Corgi in Southern Europe.
A substantial and heavy pre-production sample of the Kojak Buick finished in a rich copper with a painted pale cream interior, shiny 12 spoked wheels. With rudimentary incomplete roof light on clear plastic lead. One can see the clear plastic thread through the windscreen in the lead picture – there is no crack in the windscreen. Crocker is in a fixed position (production example would rotate).
Model is made to the same scale as the production examples.
Screwed base as expected.
Silver painted bumpers with painted red light detail.
Some damage has occurred over the years including splits at windscreen edges and the driver’s door (resin) opens but is merely placed in situ.
Lift-off lidded powder blue box has a period printed informative label ‘C290 Non-working, Valencia’. Pre-production sample piece.
A little box wear includes a small area of surface loss due to the removal of a label at some time. Inside one will find the old (rather grubby) packing foam.
