Notes
We are delighted to offer this scarce original Gift Set for sale.
It comprises:
First issue with a black and white Renault in close to mint condition – and a more difficult find with the red roof label (usually black). Little loss to one small portion on both sides. Complete with spare wheel in the bonnet, driver, camera man and camera.
Note the bonnet transfer is complete (tiny wear). ‘Tour De France’ side transfers are virtually complete. Shiny chrome base. Detailed cast wheels and well-shaped original tyres.
A few tiny marks to the paint finish.
Later issues would have a plain orange sleeve insert, but this slightly earlier issue has the attractive tree-lined backdrop, with the little, intact clear blister attached, containing the race leader on his bicycle in his yellow jersey.
Polystyrene plinth is complete, clean and fresh.
The header card window box is clean, crisp and bright with original cellophane in place (tiniest nick). Colourful scene on card reverse (light crease).
Minor handling wear only.
Comes with the Retailer Card and model specific leaflet too.
