Notes
Issued between 1968-74, this particular example in the later ‘Rainbow’ window box was issued toward the end of this period.
It contains a ‘Zebra-striped’ Land-Rover with Whizzwheels and a perfect circular ‘LIONS OF LONGLEAT’ label on the bonnet. Opened hatch on the cab roof shows the keeper complete with the (often missing) rifle. Occasional tiny mark to the paint finish. Note that there is a small break in the yellow plastic cage now, but no parts missing.
Also included is the plastic lion’s den which is complete with two male lions, one female, three portions of meat, and a red barrel. Sticky pads used to fix animals in place.
The later issue ‘Rainbow’ window box is bright and clean. Quite a crisp feel. One very small end flap tear and the original cellophane has a tear too. Yellow card packing insert is bright, clean and fresh. Note there is an additional card packing wedge too.
