Notes

Purchased by a Corgi specialist, this is one of a cache of mid 1960’s models which included colour trial models, donated to Barnardo’s Charity upon the death of a relative. The Barnardo’s charity shop is located just a few minutes from the old Corgi headquarters….

Issued between 1966-69, this colour trial model has an original bright mid-blue finish, moulded brighter red interior, two white stripes on the bonnet. This blue issue was never issued with this bright red colour interior.
Racing driver at the wheel. Spring suspension on all four untarnished wire wheels. Opening doors. Opening bonnet reveals a detailed silver engine. Fine original late issue nylon tyres with Corgi toys embossed. Rivetted base with large penned number (typical of many Corgi colour trial models).
