A piece of Corgi history – and an item with impeccable provenance, coming from The Mettoy/Corgi “Ullmann Family” Collection. Philip Ullmann was one of the founders of Mettoy/Corgi.
This is a pre-production colour trial Porsche 917 finished in powder blue, with clear windows and a blue engine cover. Clear headlight detail.

Few little marks to the paint finish. As is typical of colour trial pieces the base has little brass screw fixings.
Deep metallic blue and also red versions went into production and these models had blue or amber glass typically and ‘pepperpot’ Whizzwheels.
