A fascinating item straight from one of the foremost Corgi Collector’s personal stash of models. In authentic and original condition, this prototype model would surely be a talking point in your collection, and an excellent investment item.

The differences between this prototype model and the production item are immediately obvious.
1) The window glazing – clear on this model,
the production item had green tinted windows.

2) Notice the interior colour, cream on this prototype:

whereas the production model had a green interior. Most evident when one opens the boot on the production model revealing the green interior which would house the spinner

(the interior on the production model did not just appear to be green due to the tinted windows!).

3) Note too that the space for the Green Hornet label on the roof is prepared on the prototype – circular area is smooth rather than rough:

but no label had been produced at the time of the realisation of this model.
4) Headlight assembly but no headlights were fitted at time of production of this prototype.

6) Base is similar – although the Hornet logo is unpainted on the prototype:

Condition of the Prototype:
Generally excellent with the usual little chips and marks one would expect with an unboxed model. Spinner gadget functions correctly, the Green Hornet figure swivels, front mechanism is untested but appears absolutely fine! Radiator catch works well on this item – quite often problematic on the production example! Suspension on shaped spun wheels.
