Notes
Sought-after models that are so difficult to find in good condition! Dinky dies were sold to the Indian Firm S. Kumar & Co. trading as Atamco. (1968-70). Often known as Indian-Dinky toys, the finish was poor in comparison.
This rare model has a vivid yellow, pale grey and red finish, with window glazing, red metal ridged wheels, well-shaped original tyres and both chevron labels still present on the drop-down ramps.
Inevitable marking where the two components attach (metal against metal), and the occasional mark besides. Note that there are a three dabs of a deeper yellow paint on the yellow cab (one immediately below the windscreen another on the section below the cab and another which would be obscured form view when the components are attached.
The model still has its – as is so often the case with these Nicky Toys the base is crudely cut – with original old elastic bands in situ.
The colourful, clean, and distinctive lift-off lid box is complete. One small part- puncture in the lid and very light wear besides.
