Gold-plated Corgi 267 Batmobile. Very near mint/not boxed. Scarce issue from 1973. A sensational item from the estate of Percy Wilford, Senior Model Maker at Corgi and associate of the Chief Designer for Corgi, Marcel Van Cleemput.

One of three gold-plated Corgi models originally sold at QDT, that have come from the family of Percy Wilford, Senior Model Maker at Corgi.
Unique sample or one of a very short run (possibly 12), this sensational gold-plated Corgi 267 Batmobile is a rare later issue from 1973, with a fixed tow hook and with black versions of the rare red-tyred wheel type with grooves around the circumference (not treads). Seated figures of Batman and Robin. Light blue screens.
An exceptional and exciting find!

Corgi paperwork below confirms that Percy Wilford and his son Robert worked for Corgi (the legal document below confirms that Robert Wilford joined Corgi as an apprentice in 1963).
