This Ford Transit Fire Appliance is the 1st issue in non-metallic red – a more difficult find. Complete ‘FIRE SERVICE’ paper labels on both sides, intact original aerial, opening doors with fire hose, which you can retract by means of a lever. Comes complete with the two axes! Shiny spun wheels and as-new original tyres.
Hard to find a mark to the paint finish , although there are a couple of easily overlooked tiny touch-ins on the roof.

The colourful card box is complete and bright. Light wear includes a couple of grubby marks.
Issued 1968-74, although this version would be at the start of the production run.
