Corgi Toys 211S Studebaker Golden Hawk
Studebaker Golden Hawk by Corgi Toys, No. 211S. Silver chrome-plated issue. Scarce. Near mint plus/boxed. From The Berlin Collection.
Notes
A distinctly different finish on this model – this version has a bright chrome finish, markedly different to the gold plated issue.
The plated versions often have an unfortunate ‘pitted’ appearance, this example is happily free of this, although it does have a roof rub due to box contact and a few marks besides. Beautiful white rear fin flashes, red interior and suspension on shaped spun hubs. Light flat spot to a couple of tyres. Small raised casting mark on the roof.
Displays nicely with this highly distinctive reflective finish.
The card pictorial box is clean, bright and complete, although there is a felt pen ‘Z’ on one surface.
