Two early Dinky Racing Cars:
1)Bright silver finish with racing number 1, black ridged wheels & herringbone tyres (well-shaped). Informative silver baseplate with Mercedes-Benz stamped. Chip to the driver’s head and some marking to the paint finish.
2) Cerulean blue shade , with racing number 1 and black ridged wheels. Closest inspection reveals a little retouching and note that the tyres are radial style and later replacements.
These early racing cars would have been supplied from a shopkeeper’s trade box of six.
