Notes

The early issue of this classic Dinky toy made between 1952-54. In all original condition, this Commer Fire Engine has a bright red finish (no sunfading) with a silver extending ladder and both shining bells on the roof. Well-shaped grey tyres.

Several tiny marks to the paint finish. The silver ladders presents well (often found with significant marking, Happily not so, in this case).
Note that this example has copper tension fixing which hold the ladders in place when extended – good design point! Note too that the tow hook is a subtle copper shade.

The early blue Dinky Toys box has strong colours on intact card. No fading and that includes the portion at the sides not covered by the lid. Complete and bright paper label too. Faint pencilled price and light wear, A little childish pencilled scribble on the inside surface of the box lower.
