Issued 1966-69. This is the earliest issue with rectangular ‘FIRE CHIEF" paper labels and shaped spun wheels with suspension. Very near mint condition with the all-important Fire Chief labels bright and complete on both sides (minor age transparency). Intact ’FIRE CHIEF’ bonnet label. Minor bend to the aerial due to prolonged box contact. Blue roof light.Shaped spun wheels with suspension. Fine tread original tyres are well-shaped. Bright chrome stripe and bumpers, an intact bonnet logo, complete aerial, and blue light on the roof.
Spring suspension is fine.
Gleaming paint finish throughout shows minimal handling. Paint finish is virtually mint (tiny marking if you view minutely under magnification).
The box is bright, clean and complete.Note the repaired puncturing to one box face. Faint period penned price on an end flap which has been lightly scribbled over. Little repaired tear to an internal end flap seam. Corgi Club Membership Form and card packing piece:
