Notes
This sought-after Corgi model (1967-69) has a pleasing glossy finish and bright chrome, jewelled headlights, complete M.G.B. rear transfer, correct luggage and opening boot. Suspension is fine on all four spoked wheels. Original ‘Corgi Toys’ stamped, fine tread tyres (well-shaped). Light blue interior.
Barely a mark to the red paint finish.
The pictorial box is complete, feeling crisp. Few light tea-coffee stains on one side.
Scarce period promotional Brochure included, promoting the ‘Win A Car For Dad Contest’ held by Corgi during 1968.
Paddy Hopkirk presented the lucky winner the prize of a MBGGT and a bicycle!
Still flushed from the 1966 World Cup, the third prize was a Wembley ‘England World Champions’ football!
Riches indeed!
