Issued during 1948, this post-war issue Double-Decker Bus has a glossy red, cream and black finish, with complete ‘BOVRIL’ and ‘OVALTINE’ advertisements on both sides, complete Tri-ang logo transfer at the rear (rare early issue without registered trade mark lettering). ‘Mitcham’ destination with registration LBL 174.
Working clockwork function. Seating. Cast wheels. Smooth original black tyres are well-shaped. Shiniest radiator and headlight assembly.
Barely a mark!
The card box is notably complete with all end flaps. Bright illustrations. A little of the expected age and handling wear includes a nd note there are tape repairs to end flap seams. Wear besides.
