Dinky Toys 901 Foden Diesel Wagon

Issued between 1954-57, this truck has a red cab and chassis, greyish-brown or earth back, grooved red Supertoy hubs. Fine lustre to the original paint finish throughout – it gives the impression of being completely untouched, remaining in its box for decades. 20 mph label in place.
Noteworthy that there are no touch-ins to this model, either.
So many Fodens and commercial trucks from this period do not stand the test of close inspection – this one is happily free of any touch-ins.
Virtually mint condition. An outstanding Foden model!

Note that the box still has its ‘LF’ (lead free) sticker at a lid end. The vibrant blue base has very little of the expected shelf wear or scuffing. Strongly-coloured box has light wear and a period penned dollar price. Comes complete with the original little packing card piece which fits behind the cab.
