Corgi 474
Corgi 474 Musical Wall's Ice Cream Van. Very near mint/boxed ('foggy' windows to cab). With working chimes. Card stand and wrap-around card. Unapplied stickers on backing sheet. Instruction Leaflet. From The Eric Morris Collection.
Notes
One of the most eagerly sought-after Corgi models and such a nostalgic item.
The Ford Thames Van has a shining blue and cream finish with colourful awning and decorative trimmings, sliding windows and when you turn the handle the chimes play. Bright plated fittings and complete ’Wall’s’ transfers on both sides. Windows are rather ‘foggy’ now( common fault – over time dust gets trapped and adhered to the interior surface of the windows). Otherwise hard to fault.
Nice to see that this example comes with the complete and bright colourful card stand(couple of very light creases), as well as the wrap-around card packing piece*. Full set of unapplied labels on a backing sheet. Instruction Leaflet/Corgi Club Membership Form is included too.
The decorative card box is complete and quite bright with quite a crisp feel. TIny seam tear and light wear besides.
