A delightful Set from this well-respected (Northern Ireland) diecast manufacturer, with all models made precisely to 1:42 scale.
Gift/Presentation Sets are particularly sought-after and this one containing 4 rather delectable classic Sports Cars is certainly no exception!
Issued during 1963, this Presentation Pack comprises:
1) 104 MGA in red, mid-grey seats. Pleasing glossy paint finish. Windscreen is intact. Silver trim, complete number plates front and rear. Complete dashboard detail transfer. Virtually mint condition.
2) 105 Austin-Healey in lemon with light grey seats. Intact windscreen. Complete number plates at the front. Some loss to the dashboard transfer detail. Light side marks due to contact with the box (probably transference from the box and may be able to be removed). Very near mint.
3) 107 Jaguar XK SS in metallic blue, with cream seats and gloss black tonneau.
Intact windscreen, complete number-plates at the front, incomplete at the rear. Complete dashboard transfer detail. Very light side marks due to contact with the box (probably transference from the box and may be able to be removed).
4) 108 Triumph TR3 in powder blue, grey seating. Another close to mint example, with an intact windscreen and very nearly complete dashboard transfer detail. Complete number plate at the rear (only). Part numberplate at the front. Very near mint.
Inner card tray presents well with vibrant, clean card and a crisp feel. Rare to find with the delicate card sections intact – this one is one of the best we have seen with just one small stress tear. Light ruffling besides in places. Looks fresh and has received minimal handling.
Box base in vivid red has barely any wear at all.
The colourful and fresh Lid continues the theme.
It is so exciting to find a Spot-on Gift Set of this calibre in such fresh condition.
