Corgi 347 Chevrolet Astro 1 Experimental car. Red spot wheels issue. Very near mint/boxed. A rare find with original perspex packing piece with 'RED ARROW' detail. Notes
This desirable early issue Chevrolet model has a gleaming metallic peacock blue finish, shiny bonnet inset and sought-after red spot wheels (later replaced by Whizzwheels).
Two figures inside; the male figure often mistaken for James Bond!
Most attractive lustre to this eye-catching Chevrolet.
Very close to mint with one chip to a rear wing and a faint rub.

The Astro car came to me via an ex Woolworth employee who stated to me that the two Woolworth stores in his district had a Corgi display in store for Christmas 1970 or 1971 and these Perspex packing pieces were commissioned by the stores and supplied by Corgi to display various heights you could have the opening section of the roof compartment
Crisp, bright window box has an intact original cellophane window. Very light wear only. Intact and clean card inner (small contact scuff to inner).
