Notes
‘A First for QDT’. This is an early Mettoy Company diecast model, produced at the request of Marks & Spencer back in the day for a ‘sturdy’, long-lasting toy. This surely fits the bill! Castoys were produced between 1948-59, with this model in particular in production 1952-55.
1:35 scale ‘EXPRESS DELIVERY’ Van, with silver trim, black wheels and well-shaped original tyres. Shiny silver base. Working clockwork function.
Clear and complete ‘EXPRESS DELIVERY’ lettering and logo on both sides. Opening rear door.
Colourful card box has some wear including a small section missing.
