Notes
Jouef was a French manufacturer that specialized in model trains and other vehicles.
Jouef made electric slot cars for many years with production starting in their Champagnole factory in 1963. The system was called “Record 64” in France. Between 1964 and 1968 these sets were marketed in England by Mettoy/Playcraft, the makers of Corgi Toys.
Original point of sale item which would have originally been suspended from the ceiling in large toyshops, or indeed outside the shop (so often found rusty therefore). This colourful and eye-catching tin rectangular sign measures approx. 51cms x 20cms.
Wonderful day-one bright colours!
A wonderful survivor with just a couple of scratches and a very slight dent.
