Corgi Gift Set 3

Notes

One of the sought-after Batman Gift Sets, this version (copyright 1979) is presented in the colourful header-card window box.
The set comprises:

1) Batmobile – fixed gold tow hook version and both seated figures of Batman and Robin. Bright and original gloss finish, fully functioning and complete with aerial, intact very pale blue screens. Bright bat labels. Suspension is fine on all four shiny wheels. Virtually mint condition! Central raised section between seats has never been chromed (factory).
2) Batboat is the correct later version with plastic fin. Intact blue screens and bright chrome cockpit. Very bright paper labels including the bat labels on the fin. Gold trailer has Whizzwheels. Virtually mint.
Full sprue of original yellow missiles.

Both items are housed in the original and intact polystyrene inner (small stain).
Complete outer box has light wear and a tiny end flap tear. Print ‘For ages 3 years & over’. Intact original cellophane.
Operating Instructions on this late issue were printed on the underside of the outer box. Rubbed section on the box underside where a shopkeeper’s price has been partially erased.
