Notes
This is the ‘most fantasmagorical’ Corgi toy, in all original, very close to mint condition. Gleaming bright, with all four original figures seated inside. Version with gold band on the radiator. All jewels are present, front and rear number plates are intact, as are the delicate carriage lamps.
Couple of small marks to the radiator and minor rubbing in one small area of the rear fin.
Looks as if it has never been removed from the plastic stand (original fixings are still in place, (including the small yellow elastic bands). This white plastic inner is present and complete. Note this is the correct plinth for this issue which is of course shorter and without sides.
The blue card cloud scene (often missing) is in fine condition. Corgi Club Membership Form.
Box underside:
This is the harder to find smaller box version. Note the printed ‘ALBERT R.BROCCOLI PRESENTS’ in the top left corner of the header card. Cellophane fronted “window” box is strongly-coloured, clean, and* happily free of the usual crease on the box reverse where the header card meets the main body of the box*. Original cellophane has tiniest pinprick! None of the usual card tears. Card is vibrant especially since it has received minimal handlign and protected within the original card over-sleeve. Note the over-sleeve would have originally boxed Chitty models with this card separator:
Correspondence letter is included from 1978 when this model was sold:
