Notes
Issued between 1960-64, this eye-catching Dinky taxi has a mid orange-yellow and red paint finish, bright shaped spun wheels with suspension and well-shaped, white knobbly tyres. Lemon interior and white steering wheel. Matt baseplate with Patent nos. stamped. Complete ‘Taxi’ sign on the roof. Presents very nicely indeed with a vibrant original finish with virtually complete lettering on both sides:
Nice to see the nearly always discarded cellophane packing strip still present.
Few little stray factory smudges of silver low down on one side. Couple of tiny marks to the paint finish.
The lighter yellow picture box is very crisp and brightly-coloured. Shop-fresh look and texture, although note the little thumb tears at one end.
