Notes

Issued during 1962, there are several slightly different issues. This is the early version with silver cast wheels and bare metal rollers. Bold ‘LAING’ print.
In all original condition, the set comprises:

1) Scammell 6 × 6 Tractor in vivid orange with silver cast wheels including the spare. Perfect ‘LAING’ and ‘Civil Engineering Contractors’ labels on both sides. Silver base. As-new original tyres. Occasional mere dot to the paint finish.
2) Trailer in matching finish with virtually perfect-perfect ‘LAING’ lettering. Couple of very small marks to the paint finish.
3) D9 Caterpillar Tractor in bright yellow with bare metal rollers and notably intact original green tracks. Couple of little edge chips to the original paint finish.

Sleeve-style pictorial box is strongly-coloured and complete. Some age/handling wear and a couple of very small seam tears to the lower half of the box.
Card block with printed details is clean, fresh and bright.
