A rare shop display Counter Dispenser which would have contained 12 boxed Corgi 497 The Man From UNCLE’s Thrushbuster models. Issued between 1966-69, this is an eye-catching Display Box with the iconic picture of both Napoloeon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, the Thrushbuster Car and all the details familiar to collectors which are featured on the individual box for the model.
Measures approx. 31cms x 10.5cms x 17cms.
The central section of the opening lid appears never to have been flipped open for displaying the 12 models that this box would have contained. What a sight that would have been! Possible to re-create now, just 12 boxed modes to find…
Note there are some repaired tears and light rubs/wear besides.
