Corgi 224
Corgi 224 Bentley Continental Sports Saloon. Scarce issue in pale metallic light green & CREAMY-WHITE. Very near mint/boxed, with spare wheel in the boot. From The Phillips Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1961-65, this Bentley Continental model has a gleaming and distinctive pale metallic green finish, with a creamy-white upper.
Different from the standard version which has a very pale green upper.
For comparison only:
Suspension on shaped spun wheels. Original, fine tread, smooth-running grey tyres.
This harder to find version looks barely handled! Little mark to a front wheel arch and the occasional mere dot besides.
The pictorial card box is complete with quite a crisp feel. Some age/handling wear and an end flap corner edge ruffle. Shopkeeper’s period pencilled price at an end flap.
