Notes
This Dinky Gift Set was made between 1973-77 only. It contains D289 Routemaster Bus ‘ESSO’, and D284 London Taxi.
The bus is in virtually mint condition, with one or two tiny marks only (probably factory, since it does not appear to have been ever taken out of the box). Very clean and fresh paper labels throughout:
The taxi is in mint condition, gleaming black with bright chrome. Unused condition.
An excellent model from Dinky with rear opening doors, too.
The polystyrene/styrofoam inner is in perfect condition as is the pictorial card insert which fits on top of the inner. The large colourful cellophane-fronted window box is in near mint condition with intact original cellophane front. The header card is unpunched, so complete, with detailed typical London tourist attractions on the front and back.
A little creasing/wear and tear at corners etc.
An eye catching Gift Set from Dinky which is quite scarce.
