Corgi 462
Corgi Promotional Model (no individual Corgi number assigned to this model) for Masonic Lodge. Very, very near mint/in crisp box. Sensational and scarce Corgi model. One of the rarest finds! From The DC Collection.
Notes
We are very pleased to be able to offer one of the rarest Corgi commercial models!
Few were made during the early 1970’s. Some we believe were promotional models for Combex Industries Limited, whereas others were purchased by a Mason’s Lodge.
This model is based on the Corgi 462 Commer Van. Several were found in a house having been purchased from Corgi by a Masonic Lodge.
This example is in virtually mint condition with a distinctive original grey finish, red interior and silver dished wheels, screwed base. Small casting defect to the windscreen sill and a tiny mark at a front bumper. Delightful lustre to the original paint finish! None of the expected rubbing at raised points show that this model has been barely handled and stored.
A truly outstanding item – and so few were released! Few Corgi collections can boast one of these!
The clean, crisp and bright box (correctly un-numbered) looks factory fresh!
