A rare early model to come to the market-place, and especially difficult to find boxed.
Issued between 1962-66, this Swiss export model has a striking deep yellow and black finish, with perfect ‘PTT’ transfers at the sides. Early issue without opening doors, no glazing, silver (not jewelled) headlights, cast wheels. Shiny base and well-shaped original treaded tyres.
Pleasing lustre.

In all original condition with barely a mark. Upon closest inspection, a couple of very subtle dabs of later retouching and an additional stroke of factory paint and resultant pooling of paint at a roof side.
The plain yellow card box has the correct print i.e. ‘Auto Suisse VW’ and ‘Schweizer Postauto VW’ at an end flap. Bright colours. Note this item lacks one of the small tuck-in sections of one learge end flap:

Very small tear to an internal end flap and light wear besides.
