Acknowledged in ‘The Great Book Of Dinky Toys’, this collector in the U.S. brings his 37 year collection to QDT. Included are some very rare items and a wealth of period literature and catalogues.
This eye-catching Dinky commercial bears the features of the first issue i.e. red filler caps on the roof, grey tyres.
In notably original, near mint condition throughout, with a vibrant red paint finish, 2nd type cab and intact black ladder and red filler caps. None of the usual corrosion to the tank. Transfers have a little rubbing in places and there are a few little transfers nicks. Original grey tyres including the spare. Note that one wheel is malformed (of course as-made).
Vibrant deep blue card box has a complete paper label. Light wear commensurate with age. Hudson Dobson export label.
