Acknowledged in ‘The Great Book Of Dinky Toys’, this collector in the U.S. brings his 37 year collection to QDT. Included are some very rare items and a wealth of period literature and catalogues.

This particular version with a black bonnet, wings and roof, filled-in rear windows was made between 1948-51. This is the factory sample with the colours scheme tag attached! Issue 2 and approved by Mr. Guennett, 22 October 1948. On the reverse, one can see the hand-written size and paint specifics for this model in production.

A lustrous sheen to the paint finish and complete, clear ‘Royal Mail’ lettering and crest in black and gold on both sides.

Tyres are well-shaped. Several little marks to the paint finish.
