Corgi 1126
Corgi 1126 Ecurie Ecosse Racing Car Transporter. 1st issue. Very near mint with factory label/boxed. With Instruction Leaflet & inner packing. From the personal collection of a professional TV & Film Set Designer.
Notes
This is the first issue from 1961 in deep metallic blue finish with raised orange-yellow “ECURIE ECOSSE” lettering on both sides. Shaped spun wheels. A great item to display especially with a selection of Corgi racing cars from the same era – this transporter would hold three. Just the occasional little mark which does not really detract. Note too that this example has the ‘Genuine Track-Rod Steering Label’ included too.
The correct 1st issue lift-off lid pictorial box is bright, with no splits or graffiti Period price label on an end flap. Some rubbing at corners/edges. Nice to see that this example has the original chunky card packing insert (lacks one small side section):
Notable too that the neatly folded Instruction Leaflet is still present:
A sought-after Corgi model.
