Corgi Gift Set 40. The Avengers. Very near mint - very, very near mint/boxed, with 3 original umbrellas & card packing. Very scarce first issue with GREEN BENTLEY. From The Lake District Corgi Collection.

This is the first issue version with the rare green Bentley.
Issued between 1966-69, this set would have been released at the start of the production run.
The set comprises:
1)John Steed’s Bentley in green and black finish, correct for this set with red metal wire wheels. Complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel. In virtually mint condition. Fine original tyres.
2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 is in sparkling white finish. Suspension on shaped spun wheels. Fine original tyres. Original figure of Emma Peel. Closest inspection reveals a few tiny dot retouches to the bonnet front edge.
Three plastic umbrellas – notably all authentic, original examples. Card wrap-around packing piece.
Inner card plinth is bright with vivid illustrations. Complete with both pull-tags at the sides and the original card packing piece which slides into the base of the plinth. Couple of wheel slot tears.
The colourful card outer box is complete and bright. Quite a crisp feel. Plenty of end flap spring. Minor wear and a very small edge tear at an end flap. Corgi Club Membership Form (never folded).
