Corgi Gift Set 1B

Notes

Issued between 1959-62, this scarce set comprises:

1) 1101 Bedford ‘S’ Carrimore Car Transporter, red cab, with mid-blue & very pale blue back, with flat spun wheels, in near mint plus, original condition. Few marks mostly at the front wheel arches and one cab side. Complete lettering at the sides. Complete Corgi Dog logo at the rear.

2) 217 Fiat 1800, in two-tone blue, with flat spun wheels. Near mint. Few small marks. Complete and bright box has a little wear only.

3) 226 Morris Mini Minor in light powder blue with lemon interior, flat spun wheels. Excellent (only with chipping and rubbing at side body lines. Bright box has minor grubbiness/age wear.

4) 219 Plymouth Sports Suburban Station Wagon in deep cream and tan, red interior, flat spun wheels. Near mint plus/boxed. Strongly-coloured, complete box has light wear.

5) 305 Triumph TR3 Sports in olive green with red seats and flat spun wheels. Near mint plus condition. Remains of a tax disc. Complete box has light age/handling wear.

Note that these models are obviously the originals from this set (i.e. not a later made-up set).

The colourfully illustrated lift-off lid box is bright and complete with light wear only.
Difficult to find without repairs or heavy wear – this example as fared better than most.

Includes the original white card insert which houses the individual items (2 punctures caused by the transporter) and also includes 2 bright, clean and fresh ‘Dummy Boxes’ with the Corgi Dog decoration.
