Corgi Gift Set 40

Notes

This attractive Gift Set was inspired by the t.v. show ‘The Avengers’ and is in virtually perfect condition, issued between 1966-69.
It comprises:
1) John Steed’s Bentley in red and black finish, complete with all parts, and including the figure of John Steed at the wheel. Virtually mint condition (one small mark to one of the running boards). Silver spoked wheels. Fine original tyres.

2) Emma Peel’s Lotus Elan S2 is in bright, white finish. Very, very near mint, original condition with just the occasional negligible mark. Suspension on shaped spun wheels. Fine original tyres. Original figure of Emma Peel.
This set comes with three plastic umbrellas. These are notably the originals – so often they can go astray, particularly bearing in mind how small they are and how they were never stored in a packet but merely slotted into holes on the plinth. So many that we see have (pretty decent) replacements but they do lack the fine detailing of the originals. These originals have the furling details to the ‘rolled-up’ cloth part of the umbrella and delicate details on the handle, fine point at the base. Little details perhaps but really nice to see!
Inner card plinth has bright graphics. Just one little wheel slot tear and very light Both pull tabs present. Card packing piece in the base.

Outer box is complete and bright. Very light wear includes a few tiny tears. Never folded Corgi Club Membership Form.
