Corgi 268
Corgi 268 The Green Hornet's 'Black Beauty'. Very near mint/boxed, with packing. Spun wheel issue. Functioning gadgets. With full (opened) Instruction Packet. From The Inverness Collection.
Notes
An exciting iconic T.V inspired Corgi model – typically harder to find than the James Bond models available during this period. Issued between 1968-72. This is a very close to mint, all original example. Beautiful delicate roof logo is intact. Note that the radiator can close securely and does not gape open. Suspension is present on the three wheels only (but does not sag). Presents well with a glossy finish and as-new original tyres.
Re the car’s gadgets i.e. front missile functions well. The boot opens when the lever is moved and the spinner flies off, as expected!
Hard to find a mark to the paint finish (minute inspection finds a few mere dots at the boot lid side edge).
This example comes with the Secret Instruction Packet which has been opened. Inside, are the Instructions, four scanners and four missiles. So the full complement.
The very attractive inner card stand has lots of atmospheric graphics. It is crisp, bright and clean – and happily free of slot tears.
The outer box is crisp, clean and colourful. Very light age/handling wear – and no tears! With card packing piece.
