Notes
A fine and original example of this early version made between 1953-54 (later renumbered 981). It is cast in aluminium and has a very lustrous deep maroon paint finish, which is close to perfect. Complete lettering at both sides and above the cab.
Three little marks at the drop down ramp and a few on the rear ramp. Few very small marks besides. Well-shaped original grey tyres.
It comes in the correct early deep blue box with clean and bright paper labels (small nick or two). English only print, specifically made for the U.S. market only. Area of sunfading on one side of the box. Note the unusual light green Hudson Dobson export label on one side and the FAO Schwarz New York period price label.
