Notes

The collector tells us:
" I bought this Corgi 339 with John Cooper’s autograph in Sweden in the early ’90’s".
“The former organiser of the Göteborg Nostalgimässa swapmeet, Gunnar Söderblom, who had a well-known classic car automobilia shop gave me the address of a Swedish BMC dealer who might have some rare parts that I could use for the restoration of my Minis. When visiting his BMC garage in the Gothenburg area, I was lucky to get the original parts I needed for my cars and saw this 339 together with the associative items in a small cabinet next to his desk”.
“I told him that I am a passionate Corgi Collector and in the end I persuaded him to sell all his memorabilia including the autographed 339. He told me that he got the autographed 339 as a gift personally from John Cooper at a BMC dealer meeting in the John Cooper factory at the end of the 1960’s”.
“This group of items has been together for almost 50 years”.
