One of our favourite French Dinky trucks, this is one of the more difficult to find Dinky Fire Engines. It presents so well with a gleaming deep cherry red lustre that has not even a touch of sunfading. Complete with with both detachable reels at the rear.
Bright base and smooth-running, original tyres.
The striped picture box is clean and bright with no splits. ‘Meccano Controle’ Dinky factory Quality Control stamp on the inside of the box lid. A little shelf rubbing to underside box base. Handwritten date (June 1957) on the box lid.
Issued between 1957-59.
