Corgi 228
Corgi 228 Volvo P.1800. Beige, red interior. Scarce. Very near mint/boxed. From The Inverness Collection.
Notes
Issued between 1962-65 in a variety of colour finishes. After 1965, this car became the Saints Volvo (renumbered Corgi 258).
This example has a fresh gleaming deep beige finish with silver detailing at raised body lines, bumpers, radiator (all original).
Displays beautifully with shining shaped spun wheels and jewelled headlights. Fine, well-shaped original tyres.
Little rubs at over-riders (very minor!) and a small factory flick of silver above a rear wheel arch on one side.
The picture box is complete and bright, feeling very crisp. Minor storage/shelf grubbiness on one box face.
Not an easy colour variation to find.
