Corgi 1127
Corgi 1127 Simon Snorkel Fire Engine. Very, very near mint/boxed. EARLY CAST WHEELS with gold-jointed pipes in card & polystyrene box. With leaflet. Scarce issue from The Reference Collection.
Notes
A popular Corgi model from the Major Packs Emergency Vehicle range of toys. The Simon Snorkel fire engine was made between 1964-74, with a Bedford cab, 6 firemen, water cannon, extending and rotating boom. Gold-jointed pipes. A particularly difficult find with these early style cast wheels (first we have ever offered for sale – nearly always spun – and issued before the later ‘truck’ cast wheels). On ewheel is slighty mis-shapen ( as-made)
In virtually mint condition.
The lift-off lid card box is an early issue with lots of bright atmospheric artwork on the lid.
Barely any wear at all/
The moulded polystyrene tray in which the truck sits looks fresh. Storage scuff on the underside. Nice to see the Instruction Leaflet is still present.
