Spot-on 281
Spot-On 281 MG Midget Mk. II Speeding. Very near mint/boxed. From The Fenman Collection.
Notes
Issued in 1966 and part of the impressive Tri-ang Spot-On range of models, all precisely to 1:42 scale.
This model has a bright red paint finish, intact windscreen, M.G. emblem on the boot, driver and bright wheels. White interior and black steering wheel. This model looks unused and has just one little mark now on a front wing. Tiny paint miss on the top edge of the passenger door (inside surface).
A couple of casting holes on the base (as-made).
Inner card plinth is bright and complete, with the whistle-blowing policeman hot on his heels (no speed cameras then!!).
The box outer is complete and strongly-coloured. A couple of card tears. Note that the cellophane has been replaced at some time (so often the original ‘brittle’ cellophane breaks during storage or when trying to extricate the model on its card inner from the box).
