Notes
An early commercial Dinky model, with a first type cab, vivid red cab and chassis, fawn (or earth) back, large unpainted hook. Issued between 1948-52.
This model shows minimal and careful handling with barely a mark to the glossy paint finish. A little, as-made rough casting at the sides and peered at minutely a few tiny touch-ins may be found.
Bright baseplate and well-shaped original tyres.
The green card box with a picture label is strongly-coloured with a virtually complete paper label and early factory stamp ‘R’ denoting colour of the cab. Small area of surface loss at one lid end. Couple of ink marks and a very small stain on the paper label. Light wear. Very small area of surface loss at a lid end. Rusty staples.
Not an easy variation to find.
