Spot-on 801
Spot-On 801 'Tommy Spot At Home'. Very, very near mint/boxed. Scarce set from The Fenman Collection.
Notes
A delightful and unused ‘Tommy Spot’ Set from the respected Tri-ang manufacturer. All models strictly 1:42 scale.
Always extremely sought-after, this set is such a rare find in this condition!
With an intact and colourful detailed period card backdrop, this set comprises the following two models in virtually mint – mint condition, which are still secure to the card plinth with the original fixings (never removed):
1) 287 Hillman Minx in avocado green with a delicate, intact roof rack complete with the two original suitcases.
2) Ford Zephyr 6 Mk.III in bright red with driver.
2 figures fixed to the plinth – one of which is ‘Tommy Spot’!
Very fresh detailed card insert (very small scuff), complete with the detachable ‘HOME – Tommy Spot’ sign.
Standard, generic card and cellophane ‘window’ box has some age/handling wear.
Creasing and ruffling and a small repaired tear. The glue that fixes the intact original cellophane in place has dried out a little over the years, and has been re-glued into place at some time.
