Notes
One of the most prestigious Dinky models you can own; this is the sought-after ‘Lyons Swiss Rolls’ Dinky Guy Van model issued during 1952 only. Notoriously difficult to find in mint or even close to mint condition, this example has a fine lustrous paint finish, happily free from re-touching or repainting, so often present in these high profile Dinky models. Distinctive transfers are perfect-close to perfect on both sides making this an impressive item to add to your collection:
A little marking in the usual places, i.e. rear doors and exposed edges, and at some wheel arches. There are a couple of small scratches through the grey band on one side. Raised area caused during assembly (rivet) at one side.
The model has a pleasing lustrous paint finish. Underneath, looks very bright and shiny too. Axles including the ends are rust-free.
The box continues the theme. Such bright strong colours, including the complete and clean paper label. Shopkeeper’s original price of 5/11 is written at one end of the lid. No splits.
