Notes
Purchased in 1997 from Lösch Auction HOuse Germany in 1997 (3 years later, perhaps co-incidentally, Marcel Van Cleemput Corgi items were sold).
This is a really close to mint Bedford TK Truck with spun wheels. Complete “CHIPPERFIELDS CIRCUS” labels on both sides and, uniquely – two llamas (mother and baby) are included.
Here is an image of a period poster that clearly shows that Llamas were included in their circus shows:
A barely handled example that comes with both wing mirrors present and notably intact and complete with the little reflective pieces too.
Just a little box rub at the front bumper.
Often missing, this model still has the white card inner packing which protects the model and especially those wing mirrors, when in the box.
The pictorial box is bright, clean and complete. Crisp feel. Very light wear.
In our opinion, this is a sample piece that never went into production – giraffes (and only) giraffes were to be transported in this open Bedford Truck!
