Notes
A note from the owner:
This model was bought in the closing moments at a Toy Fair in Germany. As the car had been displayed in the box nobody took any notice of it. I was lucky to buy it last minute before the fair closed. I always look into closed boxes just in case of a rare colour variation – nearly every Corgi has been produced in the colour scheme shown on the box. Surprisingly, the model shown on the box is not always the easiest to find!"
An extremely rare issue with a vivid blue and deep yellow finish, with both wing mirrors present, cast hubs.
Close inspection shows that one of the wing mirrors has been carefully re-affixed. Paint finish is in virtually mint condition. Note the always reassuring fleck of blue factory paint at the rivet on the base, further confirmation that this is an original example.
The picture box is really crisp! Such vibrant, fresh colours too. Tiny start of a tear at an end flap seam and a little part-thickness thumb tear at the tuck-in edge of one end flap. Original card packing piece and Corgi Club Membership Form included.
