Dinky Gift Set 957

Notes

This 3 part Gift Set was issued between 1959-65), and comprises:
1) Dinky 257 Fire Chief’s Car with shaped spun wheels and window glazing, small red light on the roof, virtually complete – complete ‘Fire Chief’ lettering on both doors.
Vivid red finish throughout, just the occasional tiny mark at some exposed edges/raised body lines.

2) Dinky 955 Fire Engine has an all original vivid red paint finish, ridged Supertoy wheels, bright baseplate and both ladder components and bells present. Looks bright and fresh! None of the usual chipping/wear to the bright silver ladder. A little mark to the red paint finish at roof edge and where the ladder rests.

3) Dinky 956 Turntable Fire Escape has window glazing, silver platform, ridged Supertoy wheels. Both bright bells are present on the cab roof. Winding handle operates the raising and lowering of the two-piece extending ladder.
A little marks at the front bumper and a small retouch of silver paint too. anOccasional little mark to the paint finish.

All three items display well

The all important outer box is vibrant and complete. Clean.
One carefully repaired corner split and light wear. Usual shelf rubbing on the box base. A few little areas of surface loss at a short lid end.

Nice to see that both inner packing pieces are still present. Coupl eo fvery smal tears to the upper packing piece.

Dinky Quality Control Tag is still tucked inside the box, too.
