One of twelve items that comprise lot number 2266 at Losch Auction House in March 2000, this pre-production sample of the Commer Bus 2500 Series Race Rally Support Van is finsihe din blue and white. Original property of Marcel Van Cleemput.

Whizzwheels and a screwed base. Tow hook fitted. White interior including the seating at the rear.
Based on the Commer Holiday Camp Bus but now finished in blue and white with various labels e.g. ‘SHELL’ ‘DUNLOP’ etc and a ‘RACE RALLY SUPPORT TEAM’ transfer (some age wear to this transfer). Opening rear doors.

Note the marking on the roof and traces of the casting for the Holiday Bus still visible.
An idea that was mooted (probably around 1970) but this model never went into production sadly.
